A line of showers and thunderstorms is currently developing over the central portions of the state. The line extends from Centerville to Fort Dodge, moving east and slightly north of east at about 25mph. The storms are not expected to be severe, but will have the capability to produce some brief heavy rain. More showers and thunderstorms will likely move into the state during the overnight hours. These storms too will likely not be severe as well, but rumbles of thunder and flashes of lightning will be possible throughout the entire state tonight.
