High Temperatures Saturday

Weather November 22nd 2014
Weather November 22nd 2014

After a cold 10 days straight, a much welcomed warm up was brought into Iowa as a low pressure system opened the gates to the warmer air over the southern U.S. This sent 40s and 50s and even near 60 degree temperatures to the region. The warm up completely took away the snow cover in most parts of the state. What is interesting, Saturday night as warm air continued to pour in from the south, temperatures actually continued to rise even well after dark. Most people took advantage of the warmth to get last minute things done outside. Today, the cold front passed through, putting an end to the warmth for awhile. Some areas will even be looking at new snowcover come days end on Monday evening.
