Freeze Warnings in Effect for the State Early Saturday Morning

500

After a cloudy, cold, and windy today across the state, it will be getting even colder overnight tonight. High temperatures today barely reached the mid to upper 40s north and 50s south. A northwest wind of 15 to 25 MPH with stronger gusts did not help matters, bringing wind chills down into the 30s. Temperatures will dip even more tomorrow and Sunday as the thermometer drops to the freezing mark in some parts of the state. For this reason, a Freeze Warning has been issued for the western fourth of the state for the early morning hours tomorrow. Frost will also be possible in the rest of the state, so appropriate precautions should be taken tonight. There is also a small chance for a wintry mix in our far northern counties of the state while a cold rain will be possible elsewhere. Temperatures should eventually warm up later on next week.

Make sure to snuggle in and enjoy your weekend! If you must go outside, make sure to take a fall (or even winter) coat, along with a hat and gloves. You know the drill!
