RAIN AND SUN: No real changes for the next few days compared with what we mentioned yesterday. There will be some sunshine with warm temperatures through at least the weekend with some risks of showers and thunderstorms from time to time. Readings during this period will be quite warm with 80s and 90s across the state. Any rain that does fall could be heavy but it will be widely scattered so many places may get by with little or nothing.
TUG OF WAR: Heading into the new work week the pattern continues with showers and thunderstorms possible but there will be dry period with sunshine around as well. Finally cooler air will prevail as a cold front will move through Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. This will bring an end to the chances of rain and it will also cool readings back into the 70s and lower 80s across the state with lower humidity as well.
STEPPING INTO SEPTEMBER: Heading into the extended period, the cooler weather will begin modifying as we head toward the end of August and the Labor Day weekend. This will be ahead of a frontal system that may come through around the 1st or 2nd of September bringing with it a chance of showers and storms. Thereafter the weather looks tranquil with seasonal readings but changes are likely to be a plenty as we move forward.
