The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch which is in effect until 2am for the following counties, Fremont, Harrison, Mills, Monona, Montgomery, Page, Pottawattamie, Shelby, Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Dickinson, Ida, Lyon, O’Brien, Osceola, Plymouth, Sioux, Woodbury, Adair, Adams, Audubon, Boone, Calhoun, Carroll, Cass, Cerro Gordo, Clarke, Crawford, Dallas, Decatur, Emmet, Greene, Guthrie, Hamilton, Hancock, Humboldt, Kossuth, Madison, Palo Alto, Pocahontas, Ringgold, Sac, Taylor, Union, Webster, Winnebago, Worth, Wright. Numerous thunderstorms have begun to develop across the western part of the state. The main threats with these storms will be large hail and damaging winds.
