The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect until 6pm for the following counties, Benton, Buchanan, Cedar, Clinton, Delaware, Dubuque, Iowa, Jackson, Johnson, Jones, Linn, Allamakee, Clayton, Fayette and Winneshiek. Thunderstorms currently moving through central Iowa have been producing hail up to the size of golf balls and wind gusts up to 70mph. This will likely continue as they storms race east-northeast at about 40mph.
