SCATTERED RAIN: The next several days will see some chance of showers and thunderstorms each day across the state. This will be a case where some areas won’t get rain every day but perhaps will on others. High temperatures during this period will be in the 80s across the state. This looks to last through the day on Thursday before drier air moves in. This will also not be an all-day rain either as there will be ample dry periods with some partly to mostly sunny skies possible as well. Rainfall during this period looks to range between a half and one inch but isolated heavier totals are possible especially in areas that get repeated shower and thunderstorm activity.

NEXT WEEKEND: After a quick break in activity, another system looks to move in for the weekend once more. This one looks more organized at this time, so shower and thunderstorm chances would look to be more widespread at this point, but this is still up in the air given we’re a week out. Readings look to be in the 70s and 80s but this will be dependent on any possible cloud cover we may see that could lower the temperatures down.

OFF TO JUNE: The active weather may continue past next weekend and last through Tuesday June 3rd before high pressure comes down from Canada which will bring drier and also some cooler air to the state for several days. The GFS is showing some possible rain toward the end of the period as warmer air looks to return at that time. We have seen this cooler weather in the extended period for a few days now but the length of said period has been wavering so we’re not convinced quite yet with this pattern but we’ll continue to monitor for any trends and or changes.
