The Storm Prediction Center has outlined a slight risk for severe weather for the rest of the day into tonight for the southeastern half of the state. The main threats will be large hail and damaging winds. A cold front is expected to move into the state this afternoon, with showers and thunderstorms developing along it. Along with the possibility of severe weather, some heavy rain is possible as well. At this time only a few showers were located in SW Iowa near Omaha.
