A 30-40 mile wide band of light to at times moderate rain showers were located along a line extending from Des Moines to Sioux City. These showers are moving to the east. Rainfall should remain light with many locations that recieve rain, getting less than 1/2 inch. There is still a slight risk of severe weather for this afternoon and tonight for the northwestern parts of the state. The better chances of severe weather will likely hold out until well after Midnight across the state with another round expected on Saturday.
