Thunderstorms, not severe, continue across southern, southeastern and east central Iowa this evening. The rain could be heavy at times with these storms. Flash Flood Warnings are in effect in the Des Moines area from earlier thunderstorms. The lightning was so tremendous, that this blog writer had to shut the computer off entirely for several hours. One thunder clap was so loud that it shook the entire building and several things fell from shelves. Severe Weather is not expected the rest of the night, but more could pop up again tomorrow with the same threats as today.
