* AT 500 PM CDT…NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING QUARTER SIZE HAIL…AND DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 70 MPH. THIS STORM WAS LOCATED 4 MILES NORTH OF PATTERSON…OR 17 MILES SOUTHWEST OF DES MOINES…AND WAS MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 25 MPH.
