More Severe Storms Possible

There is a slight risk of severe weather for Tuesday and Tuesday night for parts of the state west of a line from Decorah to Centerville. This will mainly occur later in the afternoon and into the evening hours. The main threats will likely be large hail and damaging winds. There will likely be another threat of heavy rain with these thunderstorms as well with the copious amounts of moisture in the air. Prior to the development of the storms, temperatures will be well into the 90s with heat indices at or above 100°. The thunderstorms will move across the state and weaken overnight into Wednesday morning. There will be another round of thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon as well, but there is no severe weather risk as of yet for that day.
