The SPC has issued a Slight Risk for severe thunderstorms tonight for Southern Minnesota, including Western and central parts of the local area. A warm front is slowly moving north through Iowa and approaching the area and with temperature and moisture slowly increasing in the area, some storms could spark along this front. There is a chance that storms will not get going, but If storms do develop there is a risk some of them could become severe, the highest threat is large hail and possible tornado’s.
