The Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the NE Counties of Iowa from 6pm This evening until 6am Wednesday Morning. This will be where the heaviest snow will fall from the next storm that will be moving through the area. Accumulations of 3-5″ are possible in these areas before the snow tapers off Wednesday morning. Elsewhere in the state, totals are expected to be lighter with only an inch or less possible in the southern counties of the state close to the Missouri border. Travel could become an issue during the evening and overnight hours with reduced visibilities.
