Wind Chill Advisories in Effect Overnight

The National Weather Service offices around the state have issued Wind Chill Advisories from this evening through tomorrow morning. Northerly winds of 10 to 15 mph (with higher gusts) are expected overnight, and in combination with below zero temperatures, wind chill values will drop to 20 to 30 below through tomorrow morning.

  • Allamakee, Benton, Buchanan, Cedar, Chickasaw, Clayton, Clinton, Delaware, Des Moines, Dubuque, Fayette, Floyd, Henry, Howard, Iowa, Jackson, Jefferson, Johnson, Jones, Keokuk, Lee, Linn, Louisa, Mitchell, Muscatine, Scott, Van Buren, Washington, and Winneshiek from 6:00 PM Sunday until 9:00 AM Monday.

  • Adair, Adams, Appanoose, Audubon, Black Hawk, Boone, Bremer, Butler, Calhoun, Carroll, Cass, Cerro Gordo, Clarke, Crawford, Dallas, Davis, Decatur, Emmet, Franklin, Greene, Grundy, Guthrie, Hamilton, Hancock, Hardin, Humboldt, Jasper, Kossuth, Lucas, Madison, Mahaska, Marion, Marshall, Monroe, Palo Alto, Pocahontas, Polk, Poweshiek, Ringgold, Sac, Story, Tama, Taylor, Union, Wapello, Warren, Wayne, Webster, Winnebago, Worth and Wright until 9:00 AM Monday.
