Slight Risk Today (Wednesday)

There is a slight risk for severe weather for today and tonight for areas in Iowa west of a line from Forest City to Nevada to Centerville. The primary threats in Iowa will be large hail and possibly damaging winds. Tornadoes can not be ruled out at this time, but the better chances will be further south. The storms will move across the state later this afternoon and tonight and will diminish as they push east into more stable air. Rainfall amounts of up to 1-1.5 inches will be possible through Thursday night.
