This “Indian Summer” weather will continue through Election Day with temperatures in the 60s and 70s. Although a slight cool off tomorrow into the 50s and lower to middle 60s will happen with an upper level distrubance that could bring some drizzle in the eastern part of the state, the weather will continue to be great. After election day the weather turns sour and colder with a large storm system (one the models have been tracking for over a week now) will move in and bring everything from wind and thunderstorms to snow across the middle of the country. Severe Thunderstorms are not expected from this storm at least at this time but given the dynamics in the atmosphere and the temperture differences from the front to the back of the storm, it may not be unheard of. Remember there was a tornado outbreak in Mid-November in 2005 in Iowa that did effect the Iowa State-Colorado football game and it did kill 1 person in Stratford, so it the calendar may say November, but this storm could be similiar to something we’d see in late April or Early May. This could change so stay tuned.
