Here’s the third look at Election Day Weather, and yet again as is the case with models this far out, the weather has changed once again. The first image shows the 12Z GFS Model Run’s forecast for Election Day morning at 7am. This shows a batch of precipitation (likely a cold rain) moving into the state. Temperatures will likely be in the 30s so some of this precip could be mixed with snow but this far out, we’ll just call it precipitation. The second image shows the forecast at 7pm Election Day evening. This shows most of the precip is to the north and south of the state with southerly winds throughout the day. Our liklihood is that according to this run, there will be a chance of precip on Election Day (likely rain) with temperatures in the mid-upper 40s. But this model could change 3 or 4 more times before it locks into a forecast. We’re looking at trends this far out and right now the trend is for continuing to look at more runs. In any case this run doesn’t show any reason for not voting on Election Day.
