Numerous showers are moving across the state this morning. The heaviest concentration currently resides in the eastern part of the state from Dubuque to Keokuk including Cedar Rapids, Iowa City and the Quad Cities and Burlington. Another batch or moderate rain was in SW Iowa, another line of showers was moving through Des Moines to Mason City. The rain tapers off the farther to the northwest where drier air has moved in. Temperatures at mid morning were around 60 where rain is prevelant to the low and mid 50s where it has dried off. Cool north to northwesterly winds of 10-20 mph with gusts over 25mph were found in the western part of the state. That will move through the rest of the state later today and tonight and bring the rain to an end.
