It shows the center of Ike over Central Illinois. This is roughly in the vicinity of where Gustav was when it came through earlier this month. This could mean added chances of rain for Sunday in the SE 1/3rd of Iowa. Right now chances of rain are slim. In any case, a gusty NE wind will be likely in Iowa on Sunday, with winds at 15-25mph gusting to 35mph. Remember the GFDL has been fast on this storm for a while. Just some interesting notes on Ike’s path.
