The rain is on its way out of the state. It should be gone by this evening. Most of the rain currently is in the eastern third of Iowa. The heaviest rain will stay in Illinois. Temperatures have been held down because of this with temperatures in the upper 50s. (Summer went away fast!) The sky will clear from west to east tonight with temperatures falling into the 40s. Below Average temperatures will continue through the weekend into next week with highs in the 60s to mid 70s and lows in the upper 40s to mid 50s.
