There was scattered light rain in the southern part of Iowa. The heaviest rain remains in Missouri for the time being. Rainfall estimates of 1 inch plus will be likely in the eastern part of the state through Sunday evening. Most of this rain will fall tomorrow from Gustav. Isolated amounts approaching 3-4 inches won’t be out of the question for areas along the Mississippi River south of Davenport. It will be very cool on Thursday with highs in the 60s with some upper 50s in the northeastern part of the state. It will feel more like Mid October than early September.
