All of Iowa

Late Afternoon Look

Most of the rain was south of a Davenport to Creston line. The rain was light in nature. This is the northern portion of what was Hurricane Gustav. The center of Gustav is still in southwestern Arkansas and is nearly stationary. The center should move to near St Louis by tomorrow and the heaviest rain will be to the north and east of the center, skirting southeast Iowa in the process. An Updated 5 day rainfall projection will come out later this evening. Temperatures at 4pm ranged from 58 at Lamoni to 72 at Council Bluffs and Carroll. High temperatures will remain in the upper 60s to low 70s through Sunday, while lows will be in the 40s to middle 50s.
