Labor day will be hot and humid across Iowa. Temperatures will be at least 5-10 degrees above average for the date today across the state. It will also be breezy today as well, with winds up to 30mph. A storm system will move into the state on Tuesday, whether or not moisture from Gustav will get entrained into the storm system will depend on how much rainfall we will recieve in Iowa. Most models now show that the moisture from Gustav will be somewhat limited in Iowa but that could change in later runs. In any case there will be at least 1/4-1/2 inch of rain from the storm that will move through Tuesday and Wednesday. Temperatures will also drop into the 70s after the storms moves past.
