A Thunderstorm Complex has developed in the western part of Iowa. These storms were located west of a line from Algona to Rockwell City to Missouri Valley. These storms could produce marginally severe hail as they move SE across the western part of the state. There had been a severe thunderstorm warning earlier near Sioux City. Amounts of rain could exceed 1/2-1 inch. There is also a slight risk of severe weather for areas in Iowa west of a line from Forest City to Jefferson to Hamburg. The threats are large hail, damaging winds and isolated tornadoes. The tornado threat will likely be in a short period of time during initation of the thunderstorms this afternoon.
