The chances of thunderstorms will increase through the rest of the day and into the overnight hours. Many areas in the state will remain dry during the rest of the daylight hours. The best chances for any storms during the day should be in Nebraska and South Dakota, but a few may cross into Iowa before then. After Sunset, showers and thunderstorms will move into the state, severe weather is not expected with these storms. They will be into the eastern part of the state by sunrise and the chances of rain will begin to subside in the west and by Tuesday evening, the entire state should begin to dry out before the next round of rain returns Thursday.
