All of Iowa

Early Afternoon Look

Cloudiness still reins supreme across most of the state, although a few peeks of sunshine have been noted in western Iowa and some in other parts of the state. The slight risk of severe weather has been shifted eastward and now includes anyone east of a Mason City to Omaha line. Most of that area is under clouds and development of thunderstorms will be slow to occur. Temperatures are in the 70s to low 80s throughout the state at this hour which is an increase over the cool readings of yesterday. If any storms develop they will have the tendency to produce heavy rain and possible flooding, with secondary threats being large hail and damaging winds.
