Afternoon Flooding Update

Several Rivers are still flooding at this time. Several of the rivers are flooding because of the rain that has fallen in SW Iowa this morning that dumped over 5 inches of rain in some places. Here are the rivers that are currently in flood.

The East Fork of the 102 River at Bedford is expected to be in Minor Flood briefly before falling back below flood stage on Friday.
The Thompson River at Davis City is in Moderate flooding and is expected to fall below flood stage on Friday night.
The Des Moines River at Ottumwa is in Minor flood and is expected to continue there for several more days.
The Iowa River at Marengo is in Moderate Flood and is expected to fall below Flood stage on Monday.
The Iowa River at Columbus Junction is in Minor flood and is expected to fall below flood stage later today or this evening.
The Iowa River at Wapello is in Minor Flood and is expected to fall below flood stage on Friday evening.
There is still several streams and creeks that are also flooding at this time in Ringgold, Decatur, Union, Adams and Adair Counties. These should fall below bankfull by later this evening.
