The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch which is in effect until 5am. This watch includes the following counties, Adair, Adams, Appanoose, Cass, Clarke, Davis, Decatur, Jasper, Lucas, Madison, Mahaska, Marion, Monroe, Polk, Poweshiek, Ringgold, Taylor, Union, Wapello, Warren and Wayne. An MCS moving northeast out of southeastern Nebraska and northeastern Kansas will move into the state within the next hour. Large hail and damaging winds will be the main threats with this system. There has been some reports of hail up to the size of golfballs in SE Nebraska.
