JUST COLD: Partly to Mostly Sunny skies through the rest of the week with cold weather lasting at least through the Thanksgiving Holiday. Highs today will be in the 20s to lower 30s, with just 20s around the state on Wednesday. There could be an increase in the cloudiness late Wednesday night through Thanksgiving in the northeastern counties as a clipper system misses us to our northeast with some flakes of snow but nothing too much to worry about. Temperatures will moderate into the 30s by Friday into Saturday with a possible increase in clouds once again on Sunday as a new system begins to approach from the west.
DECEMBER: The first week of December continues to look interesting across the area. First off we have a piece of a system that will skirt the northern counties early next week while the main system will be hanging over the Pacific Northwest dumping snow possibly down to places such as Seattle and Portland. That system according to the GFS will move our way around the 5th into the 6th with some snow at that time. Thereafter the cold air will takes hold through the rest of the period, with little precipitation around the area. We may see several nights below zero and highs struggling to get into the teens, but this may still change albeit the cold weather pattern has been seen on the models for the last couple of days.
