TODAY THROUGH THE WEEK: Rain will be ending today as the storm system moves off to the east taking the severe weather threat with it. Any lingering activity should be out of the state by the afternoon. Temperatures will be falling throughout the day as the colder air moves in. Early day highs in the 50s and lower 60s will be common in the eastern counties of the state while the west will see readings mainly in the 40s. Monday and Tuesday will be dry with readings in the 40s to lower 50s common across the state. A weak disturbance Wednesday could kick up a shower in the eastern counties but it doesn’t look to add up to much at this point. A more significant system will move through Friday with some rain and possibly some snow (depending on air and above surface temperatures across the area) We’ll have to watch this system closely in the coming days for any changes.

NEXT WEEKEND AND BEYOND: Saturday will be cooler and dry once again before the winds turn southwesterly on Sunday heading into the beginning of the Thanksgiving week. The next system will move quickly through next Monday with some rain and or wintry mix possible at that time followed by another shot of cold air that looks to last through Wednesday. Thanksgiving day at this point is dry and somewhat mild with southerly winds and readings in the 40s to lower 50s. By the following weekend another shot of cold air from Canada along with a couple storm systems could bring some interesting weather to the state as the calendar flips to the month of December at that time.
