WEEKEND STORM: A storm system is still on track to bring some rain to the area Saturday into Sunday. With colder air coming in Sunday, some of the precipitation as it ends could mix with a little bit of wintry mix and or snow. Today however will see mainly sunny skies with highs in the upper 40s north through the 50s south.

NEXT WEEK: Monday and Tuesday will see cooler and drier conditions with sunshine around and highs in the upper 30s through the 40s. The winds will back around to the south on Wednesday and the GFS is showing a chance of seeing some rain along a warm front that will be moving through the state. The cold front comes through Thursday into Thursday night with more chances of rain at that time with a slight chance of seeing some wintry mix as it ends. There could be some lingering precipitation in the southeastern counties through the morning hours of next Friday but with high pressure moving in, that should take all the precipitation out by sunrise leading to a clearing and rather cool day.

TURKEY TIME: Temperatures look to moderate as we head into the weekend before Thanksgiving. Another system looks to come from the west pulling cold air down from Canada once again on Monday which may bring some rain and or snow to the state. Another quick system Tuesday into Tuesday night (26th) could bring some significant snow to the state at that time. We’ll have to keep watch of that system as we’ve seen hints of some active winter weather around the Thanksgiving holiday over the last few days, we’ll see if this pattern continues in the coming days. More snow possible Thanksgiving day into Thanksgiving night and early Black Friday. Could be dodging snowflakes for the deals at the stores if this is correct. Bitter cold weather looks to reign for the rest of the period and the month and possibly into the first few days of December as well as it should.
