Another quiet day is in store for today, but the active weather will make a comeback beginning late on Tuesday with another round of showers and thunderstorms. The storms will remain below severe weather limits on Tuesday but may become severe on Wednesday as the storm moves out of the state. There is a slight risk of severe weather for Wednesday and Wednesday night across the eastern 1/3 of Iowa, with a moderate risk of severe weather SE of the state from near St Louis to Springfield IL. This is where the best chances of severe weather will likely set up Wednesday. Another risk has been noted on the SPC site for Friday in SW Iowa with another system expected to move in at that time. Temperatures today will be a few degrees below normal before moving back into the 70s Tuesday and Wednesday.
