CALM BEFORE: More clouds and sun for the next couple of days across the area, with no precipitation at least through the weekend. A cold high pressure will be moving off to our southeast with winds switching around to the west and southwest today. This will boost high temperatures into the 50s and lower 60s across the state with the warmest readings out west. This will only last one day however as a cold front will sweep across the state Saturday morning bringing with it readings back into the 40s to lower 50s. Most of the precipitation with this system will be to our northeast. Sunday will see temperatures moderate a bit back into the 50s across the state.

STORMY SKIES: The next system begins to gather strength across the west late in the weekend into the early part of next week. Cold air will dump into the northern and central Rockies with some snow in those areas. A low pressure center will begin to develop to our southwest with increasing clouds and a chance of rain as early as Monday afternoon across the state. This will last into Tuesday into early Wednesday as well before the storm begins to move away. The confidence is still not great based on several other models, namely the Euro being slower and in a different spot. We’ll have to wait and see for a clearer picture in the days ahead.

INTO NOVEMBER: Some storm systems of significance in the extended period include one on the 5th and 6th that may bring some rain and snow across the area along with the 9th as well. Readings look to stay near seasonal levels with several cooler periods intermixed as well, especially after the first system mentioned.
