Another wonderful Mid August day for a trip to the state fair in Des Moines. Plenty of sunshine to go around, just like food on a stick. Lots of comfortable temperatures that won’t make you run for the nearest shade tree or the air conditioned Varied Industries Building. Temperatures in the afternoon will be in the lower 80s with a light southeast wind. The wind calms down into the evening as the skies clear from any fair weather clouds that may pop up in the afternoon. Readings will drop into the mid to upper 60s by the close of fair tonight.
