It’s going to be a sunny day again across the central portions of the state including Des Moines. It will be somewhat typical of early to mid August across the area with highs today reaching the lower to middle 80s. A light breeze will not cool things off much but it won’t be too unbearable. A nice rest under a shade tree or a trip through the Varied Industries building would do that quite nicely. After sunset, it will still remain wonderful across the fairgrounds with readings dropping into the 70s by evening in time for the main grandstand performance of Dana Carvey, Dennis Miller and Kevin Nealon at 8pm. As the late Mark Pearson would say during his Fair coverage on IPTV, Enjoy the Fair!
