A few light rain showers are moving into western Iowa at mid-day. They will produce only a few hundredths of an inch at best. More organized rain will move in later this afternoon and this evening. Rainfall amounts will generally be around 1/4 to 1/2 inch with some heavier totals possible in thunderstorms. There is a slight risk of severe weather for Thursday for southeast Iowa southeast of a line from the Quad Cities to Centerville. The main threats will likely be large hail and damaging winds. Flooding continues on numerous rivers at this time. With more rain on the way, flooding will likely continue through early next week on some rivers.
