MORE WEATHER LIKE FALL: Another few days of cooler than average weather will continue through the rest of this week into the weekend with several threats of showers and thunderstorms as well. Some drizzly weather may start out the day today with some fog as well, with some sunshine here and there by the afternoon but don’t be surprised if the clouds hold tough all day. This would keep temperatures down into the 60s to lower 70s if this were to happen, otherwise highs well into the 70s to lower 80s are possible. Another chance of rain again Thursday night into Friday and even into Saturday morning with most of the rest of the weekend looking dry until Sunday night into Monday with another system that may bring shower and thunderstorm activity at that time as well. A far cry from the dry weather we’d have a week or so ago.
ONTO THE FAIR: The cooler than average readings look to continue into the extended period as well which includes the first few days of the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines. A few rain chances intermixed in as well but nothing too out of the ordinary for the beginning to middle part of August at this point. We’ll continue to watch.
