The warnings have all expired but Flash Flood Warnings continue for numerous counties in Central into Northeast Iowa through the night. The strongest thunderstorms were situated along a line extending from Monona to Manchester to Marengo to Albia. These storms are moving to the east and northeast around 25-30mph. Some small hail and gusty winds will be possible with these storms, but the main threat will be the heavy rain that will accompany these storms. Here is a link to some of the tornado shots that were sent to KCRG TV 9 in Cedar Rapids of the earlier tornado that began near Alburnett and moved near Central City to east of Coggon (and possibly even farther)KCRG’s Weather Pictures
