The latest mesoscale discussion shows that while there is some capping in the atmosphere (warm air aloft), thunderstorms should begin to fire in a few hours in Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin. A Weather Watch will likely be needed later this afternoon and this evening. The main threat will likely be large hail.
