The cold front has moved into the northwestern part of Iowa at mid-day. Temperatures behind the front are in the 60s while ahead of the front, readings have soared into the 70s and lower 80s. A few record highs might be possible today. The slight risk of severe weather continues in the same area as earlier this morning. Thunderstorms will likely begin to develop late this afternoon into this evening. Heavy rain is a possibility.
