NOT JUNE LIKE: It is not going to feel a whole lot like the first few days of June across the state this week with readings stuck in the 60s and 70s through the week with a northwesterly flow overhead. There will be a system that will come through by late tonight or Tuesday through Thursday that may bring a few rounds of showers and thunderstorms to the area. Severe weather looks to be minimal at best but we can’t rule out any isolated activity that may turn severe at one point. Rainfall from this system looks to be between .5-1.25 which may delay or prolong flooding on area rivers but shouldn’t bring about any flash flood concerns at this time. It looks to dry out Friday and Saturday with another system in the offing Sunday into next Monday across the area.

IT’S BEGINNING TO FEEL A LOT LIKE JUNE: Toward the middle of the month, the cool northwesterly flow will finally depart and temperatures look to moderate as we head into the middle of the month. This may also calm the weather down as well but we’ll have to wait and see on this. We don’t see any major heat waves upcoming but anything is possible as we head further into Meteorological Summer
