Here is a preliminary guess on snowfall accumulations for this early spring snow event this weekend. Snow will fall across most of the state this weekend, mainly north of US Hwy 34. The heaviest snow will fall mainly north of US Hwy 20, with the heaviest snow accumulations falling near the Iowa Minnesota Border where a foot of snow is possible. Blizzard like conditions will be possible across NW Iowa and Blizzard Warnings have been issued in advance. Winter Storm Warnings will like be issued later this afternoon or tonight.
