At Midday, some rain and wet snow was moving through the state. It was mainly south of a line from Guttenberg to Waterloo to Indianola to Shenandoah. Temperatures are above freezing so there should be no travel difficulties on the roads, but be aware of the typical slippery spots, bridges and overpasses. The rain and snow will continue through the afternoon and likely will switch to all snow before ending tonight. Accumulations will be light with less than a half inch likely. Temperatures on Friday will rebound back into the 40s and 50s, so any snow that does fall will melt tomorrow. The next storm will move in late Saturday night into Sunday, bringing another chance of rain and snow to the state at that time.
