…SNOW AND SLEET MIXTURE HAS SPREAD FARTHER EAST ACROSS WISCONSIN
AND IOWA…
.SIGNIFICANT ACCUMULATIONS OF SNOW CONTINUE TO BE REPORTED ACROSS
PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA AND NORTHEAST IOWA…WITH OVER
15 INCHES ALREADY IN DODGE CENTER. FARTHER EAST…REPORTS OF SLUSH
DUE TO SNOW AND SLEET HAVE OCCURRED NEAR HOLMEN WISCONSIN AND
NORTH OF DECORAH IOWA.
THE WET HEAVY SNOW HAS KNOCKED OUT THE POWER ACROSS PARTS OF
DODGE COUNTY. ROADS ARE COMPLETELY SNOW COVERED OR HAVE A DEEP
LAYER OF SLUSH WHERE THE SNOW AMOUNTS ARE NOT AS HEAVY. TRAVEL IS
NOT ADVISED ACROSS MUCH OF SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA ACCORDING TO THE
MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
A BAND OF SNOW…HEAVY AT TIMES…PERSISTS MAINLY WEST OF A LINE
FROM OELWEIN IOWA TO WINONA MINNESOTA AND MONDOVI WISCONSIN. EAST
OF THIS AREA…EITHER A MIXTURE OF RAIN…SLEET AND SNOW OR ALL
RAIN WAS FALLING.
THE BAND OF PRECIPITATION WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE SLOWLY EAST THIS
MORNING. HEAVY SNOW WILL CONTINUE TO FALL WITHIN THIS BAND WITH
ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATIONS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES POSSIBLE THIS MORNING.
