Rain (at times mixed with sleet and snow to the north and embedded thunderstorms to the south is beginning its exit out of the state this afternoon. At 3:30 most of the precip was east of US Hwy 63 except in Ottumwa and Bloomfield where thundershowers continued to persist. The heaviest showers and storms were located mainly along US Hwy 34 from Ottumwa to Fairfield to Mount Pleasant to Wapello. All precip will be out of the state by at least 6pm this evening. Winter Weather Advisories have been cancelled for the counties served by the Des Moines National Weather Service. Also the Winter Storm Warning in NC Iowa has also been cancelled.
