Some heavy seasonal rainfall will likely occur with the thunderstorms moving across eastern Iowa this afternoon. A report of water flowing out of a frozen farm field in Benton County has been reported. With frozen ground, most of the rain will run off which could cause some localized flooding. At just after 2pm, the strongest thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Richland Center WI to Lancaster WI to Manchester to Cedar Rapids to Marengo. Another batch of thunderstorms was located along US Hwy 34 from Fairfield to Mount Pleasant to Danville. These storms will produce heavy rain and small hail up to 1/2 inch in diameter. Storms are moving NE between 40-50mph.
