A Winter Storm Watch has been issued in southern Minnesota for Thursday’s storm. Up to 6 inches or more of snow may fall in those areas. Anyone traveling to the Twin Cities, or is flying through the Twin Cities on Thursday should keep up to date on this storm. As for what will happen in Iowa, liklihood is that any snow that does fall when it switches back from rain Thursday afternoon will be light, with any measureable accumulations staying mainly north of US Hwy 20, with a light dusting as far south as the Interstate 80 corridor.
