The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning that is in effect from 6pm Friday evening until Noon Saturday for the following counties, Delaware, Dubuque, Jones, Jackson and Clinton. As with the earlier post on the Winter Weather Advisory, snow will overspread the state later this afternoon, snowfall accumulations in the warning area will range between 5-7 inches with isolated higher amounts. Heavy snowfall rates of 1-2 inches per hour are also possible. Considerable blowing and drifting of snow late Friday night into Saturday will likely cause travel difficulties.
