The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch which will go into effect at 6pm Friday evening and expire at Noon Saturday for the following counties, Dubuque, Jones, Jackson, Cedar, Clinton, Muscatine and Scott.

STORM WATCH…WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY EVENING THROUGH
SATURDAY MORNING.
SNOWFALL AMOUNTS OF 5 TO 7 INCHES ARE EXPECTED OVER THE AREA
FROM FRIDAY EVENING THROUGH MIDDAY SATURDAY. THE SNOW WILL BE
HEAVY AT TIMES FRIDAY NIGHT…AND COULD ACCUMULATE AT A RATE OF 1
TO 2 INCHES AN HOUR. CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW IS
ALSO EXPECTED FROM LATE FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING AS
NORTHWEST WINDS STRENGTHEN TO 20 TO 35 MPH.
